How do I cancel my Fusial subscription?

Owners and admins can cancel a Fusial subscription from Settings → Billing via the Stripe portal. Invoiced and custom plans cancel through support@fusial.com. This page covers cancellation, what happens to your data, and how to delete a workspace or account.

You can cancel a Fusial subscription at any time. Cancellation, deleting individual contracts, and deleting your entire workspace are separate actions — this page covers what the app supports today, and what to email support for.

Who can cancel

Owners and admins of the workspace can manage billing. Members and viewers cannot. If you don't see a Billing section under Settings, ask an owner or admin.

How to cancel (Stripe subscriptions)

  1. Sign in as an owner or admin.
  2. Go to Settings → Billing.
  3. Click Open billing portal. This opens Stripe's secure billing portal in a new tab.
  4. In the Stripe portal, choose Cancel plan and confirm.

You'll receive a cancellation confirmation email from Stripe.

How to cancel (invoiced / custom plans)

If your workspace is on an invoiced or custom plan, you won't see the Open billing portal button. Email support@fusial.com from the address associated with your owner or admin account and we'll process the cancellation.

When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation timing is controlled in the Stripe portal at the point of cancellation — Stripe will tell you whether your plan ends immediately or at the end of the current billing period before you confirm. We sync that status to your workspace via webhook as soon as Stripe processes it.

Once the cancellation is in effect, your workspace enters a suspended state:

  • Everyone in the workspace is redirected to a "Subscription canceled" screen and cannot use the app.
  • Owners and admins can still reach Settings → Billing and Settings → Account.
  • You can restart the subscription from Settings → Billing at any time and access is restored immediately. No data is lost.

What happens to your contracts after cancellation

Cancellation does not delete your data. Contracts, versions, AI outputs, comments, and audit logs remain on our servers while the workspace is suspended. You can re-subscribe at any time to restore full access.

If you want your data exported or deleted while the workspace is suspended, email support@fusial.com — we'll handle export and deletion manually.

Deleting individual contracts or versions

You don't need to cancel to delete a contract. Owners, admins, and members can delete a contract from its detail page; viewers cannot. Deletions are logged in the workspace audit log.

Deleting your entire workspace

There is no self-serve Delete workspace button in the app today. To permanently delete a workspace and everything in it:

  1. Cancel the subscription first (see above).
  2. Email support@fusial.com from your owner account asking us to delete the workspace, and include the workspace name.

We'll confirm by replying to your account email before processing the deletion. Once deleted, the workspace, its contracts, versions, AI outputs, comments, and audit log are removed and cannot be recovered.

Deleting your personal account

Self-serve account deletion is not available in the app today. To delete your personal Fusial account, email support@fusial.com from the address on the account. If you are the only owner of a workspace, we'll ask you to either transfer ownership or delete the workspace first.

Refunds

Refunds are not handled automatically. If you cancel mid-period and believe you're eligible for a refund, email support@fusial.com with your workspace name and we'll review case-by-case.

What if I just want to pause?

We don't offer self-serve pausing. If you need a temporary break, cancel through the Stripe portal — your data stays on our servers and you can re-subscribe at any time to restore access exactly as it was.
